Omnichannel home interiors platform Livspace is now a unicorn. The company has just closed a new $1.2 billion funding round. Livspace, a startup that specialises in home interiors and renovations, has raised $180 million in a new round of funding spearheaded by private equity firm KKR, valuing the company at $1.2 billion. This makes Livspace the newest member of the exclusive unicornclub of firms valued at more than a billion dollars. According to a senior company official, Livspace would use the funds to grow internationally, strengthen its position in key regions such as India, and broaden its product offerings. Existing investors included Ingka Group Investments (part of the largest IKEA retailer Ingka Group), Jungle Ventures, Venturi Partners, and Peugeot Investments, among others, in the investment round.Investors have so far contributed $450 million.
