Produze to connect Indian farmers & global retailers with $2.6M funding

Agritech startup Produze has secured seed funding of  $2.6 million. The company will use the money to connect Indian farm producers and global retailers. With the intention of bridging the gap between rural farmers and global merchants, Produze, a startup, has acquired $2.6 million in seed funding from venture capital firms Accel and All In Capital. The money raised, according to Produze's co-founder and CEO Ben Mathew, will be used to expand the company's distribution network, tech staff, and purchasing resources. A B2B portal called Produze enables agricultural producers, such as farmers, processors, and packing houses, to sell directly to foreign retailers. Mathew and Gaurav Agrawal, Rakesh Sasidharan, and Emil Soman, all former Ninjacart executives, formed it in February 2022. Supply chain startup Wheelocity gets Rs. 95 crore in Series a funding

Wheelocity has secured almost  95 crore in its Series A round of funding. Lightspeed Venture Partners led the funding round whose debt component was $2 million. Wheelocity, a fresh commerce supply chain network, has secured $12 million (about Rs 95 crore) in a Series A round headed by Lightspeed Venture Partners. The fundraising round included a $2 million debt component. Along with other investors, Anicut Capital took part in the round. Wheelocity, founded in September 2021 by Selvam VMS and Senthil Kumar, provides fresh fruits and veggies to firms including Blinkit, and Swiggy Instamart. For its business-to-business (B2B) clients, it provides plug-and-play models, which means that any firm that wants to supply fresh fruits and vegetables to its consumer base may partner with Wheelocity and immediately enable the service. Agritech startup Absolute to bolster its core platforms with $100M funding

Agritech company Absolute has secured $100 million across recent rounds of funding. The startup will use the money to strengthen its three core platforms Absolute, an agritech business, has secured $100 million in previous fundraising rounds from Sequoia Capital India, Alpha Wave Global, and Tiger Global. According to the corporation, it is worth around $500 million. Last November 5, the media reported on its fund-raising plans. Absolute raised $2 million last year from Sequoia Capital's Surge incubation program and two angel investors, Nadir Godrej and Sanjiv Rangrass. According to the business, the cash will be used to strengthen its three major platforms: bioscience research platform, universal Farm OS, and global trading platform. Agritech startup Agrizy secures Rs 30 cr to expand its business

Agrizy has secured around Rs 30 crore in a seed round of funding. The agritech startup will use the funds it raised from investors including Ankur Capital to expand its business. Agritech firm Agrizy has received $4 million (about Rs 30 crore) in funding from investors including Ankur Capital to expand its operations. Omnivore and angel investorsRajesh Yabaji (CEO, BlackBuck), Zetwerk's Co-founders Srinath Ramakkrushnan, Amrit Acharya, Rahul Sharma, and Vishal Chaudhary, among others, participated in the seed round. Agrizy said it will use the funds raised to grow strong business and engineering teams, develop a suite of digital services for the processed agro sector, and scale up customer traction in targeted value chains across multiple regions in India.
